over the next few days / weeks, we are going to put some nostalgia moments into our website. this is something different and we hope you guys like it. the idea came about when … … … I GOT NO UGLYMEN ALBUM NEWS TO TALK ABOUT!!! #$&^%#^&#%$&^$#
photo: far left: michael wong ka kui, seated in front: tua thao suan, far right: kaijiunn. standing behind, left: ah leong (guitar), right: alex “flea” tan (bass). this poster is black and white and there’s 2 versions of it. one is A4 and the other one is A3 (i think). the photo shot was taken in end of 1993. if those posters are found, they are worth millions of ruppiah by now… 
vintage was our first band… born in muzik sistem, jalan kanchut (old pesta ground), alor setar, kedah. mike:guitar/piano/keyboard/main vocal, suan:guitar/backing vocal, kaijiunn:drums, alex:bass/backing vocal, ah leong:guitar/backing vocal. we started off playing in charity gigs, supermarkets and whatever gigs there were back in the 90′s. ah leong left in december 1994. alex left for studies in mid/end 1995. we were so young and bloody stuPIG. we were basically managed by mr. ng who emphasized on a lot of punctuality and self discipline. thank you mr ng.
we were students at muzik sistem where i learnt to play the electric guitar for 3 months, drums for 3 months. michael learnt the guitar for a few months also. kaijiunn learnt the drums for 3 to 4 years. our current bassist, ah hooi learnt the bass from muzik sistem as well for a few months/years. from time to time, a very talented teacher by the name of badrul hisham gave us the finer points of playing together in a band. thank you!

Uglymen (ex-Vintage)!! Cikgu would like to grab this opportunity to drop a line or two here…
“TO PRODUCE GREAT AND SUCCESSFUL CHINESE MUSICIANS/BANDS” as many as I could (because there were so many malay bands around at that moment while chinese were rarely seen!) is the very FIRST goal I put in my mind at the time Mr. Ng Cheng Teik (my schoolmate) and I were discussing about the feasibilities on setting up a NEW music centre/school (now Muzik Sistem) with NEW concept back in year 1990. (I think I’ll just stop here, sorry!)
YOU guys had made my dreams come through!!…Thank You!!! Why did I say so? Hmm…Please read carefully on what I’m going to reveal here

actually i know u since…….oh ya there was one day,i accidentally and also purposely read my sister’s class magazine, and from that minute onward,i know u.it was not bcuz of your feature u know,but ,yes it is bcuz u r also music enthusiast and nevertheless,u r beyond fan!
