on 8TV — man… we looked so weird. we might appear to be snobish or “sombong”. the editing was sharp. we spoke more than 20 minutes in the actual interview but i guess they cut most of our crap. hahaha…
if you watch Homegrown regularly, you will notice that last friday's show was a bit short 
normal episode will have 5 segments in it: band interview, band playing live, tip of the week, product demo and public opinion. our episode did not have product demo, 8TV fitted in with more commercials. most of our friends said too short but it's a good thing. u guys know why? which means Homegrown show is getting recognition and businesses are investing in the commercials during Homegrown — this show is a success!!! we hope that everyone is enjoying the show and we have recorded it down on tape. we'll try to put on VCD later.

Damn. I’ll summarize what I typed out. My 1st comment was screwed up because it was mixed with unknown HTML codings.
- I am not suprised with HOMEGROWN for making UGLYMEN look bad. Because:
. They did not mix the audio and visual well during the performances
. Put bad comments after the whole show by passer bys? Come on lar. ask some Penang kia for comments, not KL dudes..
. But I guess you all appearing on the show is good publicity to sell off your albums (if possible. I’ll help you all promote around schools and among friends.)
- Short samples. My friend asked for a couple of demos since I refused to send them UGLYMEN songs. You all should like, crop some bits from each songs and put it online so other people can listen to your music.. so they know how much their RM30 is going to be worth.
- I refused to send them uglymen songs because it’s not musically right to distribute tracks from a musician illegally. So don’t worry. I haven’t sent anyone any tracks at all.
- My multiply site has free mp3s, but I’m not uploading UGLYMEN tracks there because it sets the mp3s to be downloaded for free, so no worries caused there.. But once you have those short samples, please send me a full copy. I will upload them to my multiply site to promote UGLY for you all!
- Hope you all continue to do the great job you all are doing right now!!! I miss watching you all performing live.. I’ve already missed 2 shows!!!!! (this one wasn’t included in the 1st post, but it doesn’t matter lar.)

I think you should put from 30 – 40 seconds of short clips of each songs on the website. It’s a good idea to put this so people can listen to what you all are playing on your album!

i purposely stay up late to watch the show. i’m so tired that day and the next day i have to work, but yet, stay up to watch u guys shows!!! boh huat lar, loi is my friend mar, must support one……
i keep listening to u guys album this few days and i like it more and more. the music just go into my mind, i think sooner or later, i will know how to sing without looking at the lyrics. haha

thanks for the comments. i think the show has done us more good than bad. a lot of our friends enjoyed it. some of them said too short or commercial too many. i think more commercial is good cause investors will come to value local music scene by indie bands. not only us but other bands as well.
next: local radio station… but we have to see cause if the DJs are open enough to accept our style, we are in for a lucky break!

If you want to get to a local radio station, I think you should leave HITZ.FM aside first until you’re locally famous (or until you reach that level where your CDs are sold in music CD shops.). You should try something underground-ish. Like I said before.. you can get to Schizzow and he might just get it on XFRESH, if it’s really possible. Contact him for further details.. I forgot to ask him if he could do it yesterday..
