oh boy… today is not exactly a good day for me. our customer was not happy with some of operations that have taken place in the morning. we just implemented a new system for them. well, i'm actually working in the healthcare market providing computerized system to their hospital operations. there was nearly a halt in the morning when the computer system wasn't working perfectly as would have wanted. we nearly panic for about 30 minutes but all went well throughout the day with some small hiccups.
then came the crush, a factory worker (i believe an engineer) was admitted to ER (emergency room) because his neck was crushed by a machine. according to the hospital attendant, the engineer was working alone when he worked with the machine. for some reasons, he stucked his head into the machine to take a closer look and the machine just started/ignited and killed him on the spot. the machine alarm went off and by the time his colleagues found him, he was already motionless. they brought him to the hospital where i am located right now and there's blood on the floor.
i was inside the operation room and didn't manage to see what happened near the ER. my colleague told me there's a lot of people from the factory near the ER. when i went out (a few hours later) , i saw a lady (believed to be the wife) seated with a few senior management people of the factory at the coffee house. the sight of her crying is unbearable. i'm devastated with the scene.
