Forgive my grammatical errors, i am very tired and no strength, a record 23rd time just before i post this.

Nowadays, many families employ Indonesian maid to handle various chores and work, some at home, some employed to work at factories, or small working places. And at my home, it is the 4th or 5th year running being employing an indonesian maid.
Normally we read about this maid ran away from home, that maid stole money, this one put “kong tao” into soup, that one abuse the boss’ baby son. But seldom got anyone think behalf on the maid’s side…
First of all, do you think maids like to travel hundreds if not thousands of miles to malaysia to work just to put “kong tao” in your soup? or they dont have choice but to work here? We all know 90% if not 100% of them are uneducated or received minimum education. I think out of so many families who employ maids, one of the most well-treated maid must be Ong Tai Suan’s Ah Su. Suan treats her very good, to what extent we dont know (insert wink here). We often listen or see in TV bosses, esspecially lady boss scold their maids stupid, eat shit, no use, go to die…..
Why not you stand on their side and think for a few minutes, travelling so far to work has been under tremendous pressuere, leaving behind poor-sticken families, some even with their own sons or daughters. Once they start to work, they have to:
1) Remember all the faces, names, people of the family
2) Remember where to put each working utensils
3) Remember what time to feed which baby with what BRAND of milk powder
4) Remember which shirt or blouse belongs to which family members and where they keep their respective clothes, PLUS, for those very “im-chim”, where to hang or put their favourite colours or styles.
5) Remember what day kids got school, what to prepard for breakfast, what to prepare for the old grandma her lunch and must be always alert to check if old grandpa’s dypers is wet
6) Remember what time the boss comes home so she can open the gate and avoid the boss mindlessly honking at the door while the maid is feeding milk to the baby
7) Remember which clothes cannot mix with which clothes so that the colour wont “mix” on other one, to avoid salary being cut
Remember how to spell every family member’s names so that she knows how to distribute each letter received to whoever’s room
9) Remember what time to wake the younger boss up in time for tuition.
10) Remember to wash the porch, sweep the floor with correct procedure, use what “VIM” or the correct soap powder for cleaning which portion of the floor, for example use “VIM” for car park, use “Mr Cleano” for the mosaic…
11) If only 0.0001% of the above not met, then she wil be scolded: “Si Iau Siu!!, Chiak Sai!, Kao Sai!”
then the maid has no choice but to hide her face and cry silentlyly, and if her boss knew she was crying, she kena double scold then, maybe extra work and not enough sleep.
Treat your maid like your family, not like your DOG, sometimes, some families treat their maids worse than DOG.

My dad doesn’t like to hire maid, said it’s kinda disturbing the family’s personal life, and he doesn’t feel like paying and ordering others to work. I agreed too cause I don’t like others to touch and move my personal belongings. But guess what my mum said? Kekeke. =P

one more thing i want to add is, if a couple have 2 kids but leave them at home for the grandpa or grandma or the maid top look after but themselves always go outside pak toh or sleeping at home, then better dont make love without condom at first place la.
I remember KJ emailed us an article in kwang wah, when a kid was called upon the stage and asked them to call up their parents, the kid called the maid instead…

My family juz fired 3 maids and send back directly…
We are not treated them as DOG!! We are treated them like human and very nice.
One of them very horny and bring the other two go and find some guys and sleep with them and do it!!! We caught them!!! Maybe one arrow kills two birds, can get high as the same time earn some extra money….
What I wanna said its do not over treated or RESPECT too much on your maid, juz hit to point enough, we treated them so nice!!! but in the end..what had happen????
Those Maids do not have feelings one (not all of coz’), we treated them so nice, got O.T if there are going to be longer working hour, got food(all you can eat till you full that type), got nice place for them to stay, live in… In the end, they betray us; do you guys know what that horny one said to the agent?? We didn’t paid O.T, we didn’t treat them nicely, we didn’t give them freedom, we treat them like “COW”(Lembu)….etc etc etc….Making up all those stories!!!
In the world got all types of different kind of people…ALL different kind of PEOPLE are living maybe next to you or serounding you..juz BECAREFUL!!

this is a great post. i have to chip in to say kudos to michael. sometimes we see maids are treated badly/poorly. there are thousands of indonesian maids in the country and when they are treated badly (vice versa), the news is highlighted repeatedly until it create unnecessary phobia to society. yes, i have a maid to take care of my home, grandpa and daughter. she cooks for us and we share the same meal. basically, we treated her as part of our family because she is an expartriate working outstation to earn a living for her family back home in indonesia. i used to work in singapore and being a foreigner is DIFFERENT when u work with the locals. i must say that i am VERY lucky to get a very good maid. sadly, she is going to work until this year (3 years) as she has just become a grandmother. she’s going to be a full time grandmother to take care of her newborn grand-daughter. no matter how we wanna deliver the message to you guys: let’s treat people (anyone) with dignity and respect. they have the right to be respected.

ok…let me suggest to maid agents….Next time maid agents will provide 2 different packages:
1) Maid that don’t need sex
2) Maid that need sex
So, customers can figure out which package they want. So, the problem solved.

Like that one that we fired, the horny one is at the age of 38, and have 2 kids….still mess around!!!
but back to the maid topic, we also have good maids as well…
juz in this recent years all the maid that we hired got bad quality…
some of the maid work with us for more then 7 years…very nice!!!
