Avoid Talking On Your Cell Phone During Thunderstorms…

Below is the news about a girl being electric-shocked while talking on her hand phone during a thunderstorm, the strike injured her ear drum, earlope, even burnt her dress, luckily, there was no permanent damage to her hearing.

(瓜拉丁加奴12日訊)1名女學院生在下雨天講手機,不幸遭雷電擊中耳朵,大量出血,險些耳聾!事主除了耳朵受傷,項鍊和衣服也變成焦黑,其兄長目睹妹妹耳朵受傷,立即吩咐母親用棉花止血,並在鄰居協助下,載送對方進院。

這宗罕見意外于上週日晚上8時20分,在甘榜邦谷柏拉洞發生。

傷者哈雅迪(22歲)受訪指出,事發前,她用手機致電給朋友談天,完全察覺不到有閃雷,只是突然發現左耳流了很多血,整個人差點暈倒。

她說,當時母親在旁邊,緊緊抓住她的身體,大力搖晃,避免她失去知覺。

她指出,醫生診斷其耳鼓破裂和耳膜也有受傷,聽覺不時受影響,包括經常有耳嗚現象。因此目前仍必須留院觀察。

    one more thing to add, although our electric appliances have fuse in their plugs, best is to unplug them from the wall socket when thunderstorms going on. Some time if you are lucky, your house kena struck and your PC, hi-fi, plasma TV can just bye bye in less than 1 second
