i think it’s about time that hooi and i reveal something to you guys. we are part of the secret society that we spoke about a few days back. ah hooi joined 2 secret societies for the past few months and i joined one. for those who can read chinese, do enjoy the news, else you can read a weirdly chinese-to-english translation here. i can’t even understand what google is trying to translate.

i think about only less than 20% readers to this site will only believe what i’m going to say. there’s a small temple near to my “who-wants-to-be-a-millionaire” apartment where the tangki (medium) performs a trance every saturday and monday night (11pm). the medium invites “tua pek ia” deity during the trance and worshippers will queue up to seek for advice. photo of tua pek ia below.

for those of you who are not familiar with what i’m talking about; it’s actually a chinese ritual performed during prayers to invite deity (god) to take over a person so that certain worshipping ceremony can be performed. what worshipping ceremony is that? it’s a place where you pray and ask the medium/deity for advice. it’s a culture dated back to thousand of years from china. i’m not going to explain much but if you are interested to know how certain chinese culture is able to invite deities to take over human bodies, read here.

now, what is so special about this ritual that hooi and i are attending? when we asked for peaceful well being and good health, the tua pek ia deity will consider our request and vomit out gem stones to us. yeap, you heard me right, it’s vomit as if you try to get something out from your mouth. yes yes yes, it’s hard to believe. you guys will say that i’m bullshitting (f* me if you want). i dont ask you guys to believe me but just read what i’m sharing with you guys. metal sow got a pink diamond (not sure how many karats). read the link above to understand more. most worshippers received diamonds than gem stones. they came in various colors, shapes and sizes. definitely cool.

i got myself a pair of clear gem stones. i’m not sharing with you guys about the monetary value of these gem stones but it actually serves a different purpose to keep us safe and healthy (sort of). some people sent these stone gems to goldsmith for price evaluation and they are pretty high in value. anyway, this is so un-music related but i find it amusing and wanted to share with you guys this little story (to understand better chinese culture). for more stories about chinese gods and deities, browse through here.
