Uglymen (Suan, mike) was interviewed by 星州日报 today.
Venue: Sin Chew Jit Poh Alor Setar Office
Time: 10.25am - ?? (I left at 11.29am because having music class)
Who: Sin Chew Jit Poh reporter Eng Boon, Tai Suan, mike and 500 imaginary reporters and fans.
We talked for over 1 hour from history of forming our first band (VINTAGE) to the current (UGLYMEN) line up. Other important issues disclosed in the interview including Uglymen overdriven-snoring honour, Suan famous act of using almost every toilet where he has been (the first thing he arrived for interview was using the coffee shop’s toilet) (In the midst of the interview, he also used Sin Chew Jit Poh’s toilet)…

Tai Suan: Can i use the office’s toilet? Its my tradition.
Eng Boon: Sure, please use both, we have two.
Eng Boon: What did you guys do to survive before your band finally settles down?
mike: Suan did computer jobs all the way, i did more than 5 jobs before teaching music full time, and ah hooi only needed to take photo of himself and sell it here.
The interview made me recall why i decided not to further-study in some government music colleges more than 10 years ago, and i am glad i did that.

i have all the paper cutting of interview wth vintage n some old posters…. and yet i have no idea what they wrote. My fault.. i did not attend my chinese class as Tai Suan’s mum is darn strict… kept getting the ruler for mistakes..! blame tai suan’s mum for my puny knowledge in chinese character!
