Whoo… I’m back from the concert. I must say it was really a blast. Almost lost my voice there, shouting and cheering for them. Kekeke.

Uglymen performed very well, with only very very very minor (negligible =P) mistakes here and there. Sound balancing was nice, bravo to Muzik Sistem who did a superb job. The wonderful mixture of instruments and sexy vocals from Uglymen gave everyone who attended the concert a very enjoyable night. Well, you might not agree, ahem, but at least, to me.
Doing soundcheck at 5pm.
Then, people started filling in the venue at 8pm.
And finally the concert kicked off at 8:30pm sharp, with an instrumental version of Love Bubble Tea from Uglymen.
The emcee of the night, Zhang Ji An, DJ from AiFM.
After the emcee finished his talking, Uglymen again continued. First Hai Kuo Tian Kong, then Amani.
Next up on stage was Sheng Ming Xian.
Consists of 8 members: 2 vocalists, 3 keyboardists, 1 guitarist, 1 bassist, 1 drummer. I like their songs arrangement very much, and their backing of vocals on each other was marvellous too.
After that was these trios.
From left to right: Veronica on vocal, Gu Feng on guitar and vocal, Luo Guang Quan on keyboard and vocal. They delivered quite a number of hot tunes like Hotel California, Ai Hen Jian Dan, etc. And they even had the emcee to sing with them which was really cool.
Last but not least, Zhou You Zhi, a very talented singer.
He sang three of his self composed songs from his album, and a cover from Wang Lee Hom. I heard that he was nominated for a don’t know what prize in the Yu Xie Jiang this year, I’m not really sure. But anyway, he has the look, and no doubt, he has the voice.
To end the event, Uglymen was again up on stage. Audiences were getting impatient by then, but many stayed just to catch Uglymen as the final act.

chee bye!!! if being told earlier I may go up to attend this gig!!! I went to biz trip and blur blur..dunno wat’s going on here and there!!! I am grad that it went well and balance…any video recorded??? if have can give me a copy of this gig???

Been a while… Read about that you’re a Nuno fan! That explains the N4! HA! Cool guitar by the way!
Anyway, we (Nightmare Cinema) were busy practising a few songs for a few competitions in Singapore. The Overdrive 06 was held a few days ago at Colors of the Bay (Esplanade). We got 3rd place, playing an instrumental version of Endless Sacrifice and Glasgow Kiss. All in all, a very nice (and tiring) experience for us! I’ll post a write-up here (can I?) as soon as I got the videos from the organizers.
Guitar wise, ordered a few cool stuff over the internet. And bought some more stuff at Swee Lee during their sales. A Talkbox, a Portnoy 12″ snare drum (drummer bought one…), a MAB guitar dampener (I know I suck, that’s why I need it :-P), a few Keeley modded pedals etc. Will arrive to me in a few weeks time (hopefully!). And a Gretsch Catalina Club Jazz kit for my little bro! Still need to find money for my Musicman JP in January. Damn broke now :’(

rossie, if u want good effect pedals for guitar, try www.analogman.com - i bought myself the modded DS-1 pedal. i had keeley DS-1 modded pedal. i would say i prefer analogman modded DS-1 than keeley a lot.
