75% of our site visits were browsed using IE

we have been screwed many times by our close friends saying that their browsing experience using IE sucks. we told them to use firefox but guess what… over 75% of our site visits were browsed using IE. so imagine how many people uglymen.net has pissed off. for once and for all, using my extremely limited knowledge on webcoding, i decided to try my hand at “debugging” this problem. looks like its ok right now. the fonts and wordings on the right sidebar are bigger and easier on the eyes.

uglymen.net has been our source of communication and its proved to be very effective in letting the news out to an average of 350 users a day. not huge hits but if you considered 3 of us has 350 friends, i think thats kinda big. if i’m broke one day (nearly broken), at least i know i can borrow money from 350 friends. and each one of my friends, i can ask for $10, i think i should be having enough $3,500 to buy myself a new drumkit! bwahaha…

so, what’s up with uglymen lately? we are preparing for our big gig this thursday at jalan putra in alor setar. supposed to coincide with Visit Malaysia Year for the state of Kedah. our little state Menteri Besar (Chief Executive) will officially open the event on wednesday and there’s going to be a lot of food, carnival, performances and local products on sale. this event is going to be huge. Jalan Putra is also considered Alor Setar’s Chinatown where most chinese can be found residing and conducting businesses.

cute fact: Jalan Putra is called “Sin Lor” in chinese hokkien dialect, literally means “New Road”. i guess a few years back when this area was developed, it didn’t have an official name yet but people referred the area as a new township with a new road. on our song “CIAK KAKI”, the 4th line of the 1st verse mentioned “che motor khi sin lor lim chew lim ka khi loh loh“. translation is “Riding a bike to Jalan Putra and drink until drunk“.

next week is chinese new year welcoming the year of the PIG. we are having a gig at the esplanade in singapore on 21-february-2007 8pm. see you guys there!
