Jago // Feb 26, 2007 at 2:22 am
I just watched all your videos, and it was incredible! I mean, coming from just three guys, it’s an amazing sound that you’ve produced. You made an excellent choice of songs to play. I hope one day, you can come down to Canada and we could jam together. Keep it up guys! I wish I was there to witness your performance.
michael // Feb 26, 2007 at 2:53 am
i thought Enter Sandman was not bad, Si Ai Bin is one of my favourite but the string-breaking really killed the feel…
calaham arrived, will see how M1 sounds this tuesday if nothing goes wrong.
SilverIsle // Feb 26, 2007 at 3:40 am
I’ve just checked, Metal has uploaded more videos at YouTube already! Credits to Beh for the great videos too.

Michael… We will pray hard so that your poor little left index finger can fit well with the neck. =)
Gnap… It’s way way way nicer to watch live. Haha. The sound crew there are simply awesome. Anyway, hope you are feeling better right now. =)
michael // Feb 26, 2007 at 4:21 am
halo Jago, thanks for ur feedback, ur words will burn our determination to move further after we turned 3-piece since last year. We certainly hope to play more abroad if given the opportunity.
thanks for dropping by and I visited ur blog, u played on the digital drums?
beh // Feb 26, 2007 at 9:12 am
Jago,
There are more songs that haven’t convert and upload to Youtube yet..
I personally like all those songs ugly had play in uglylive!! it was so great and like Jago said, 3 guys can perduce such imcredible sound; the tightness, power, feels all was there….
Jago I forgot to add on, Mike the guitarist had broke the guitar string twice during the live, one was at the song But Choi Yau Yi which haven’t upload yet to youtube… It reminds me of Eric Johnson at “rentak Asia” live, Eric also broke one strings and keep playing the music did not stop becoz’ of the strings broke during the eric’s live. He juz play, tune, and improvise (as 6 strings became 5 strings) gentlely without a pause or stop on that song!!!
Yet, Mike was in very sick, ill condition…still can play and sing its totally incredible!!!
Metal fast fast fast upload all the songs plz…. also si ai bin got problem I couldn’t finish watch it….does anyone encounter this problem???
Mike, if you had change the guitar strings to new one, I bet you got more fun and feel and of course the tone would kill all of us!!! kekekekeke…
rockON!

The first video I clicked on was Love Bubble Tea, and then came Enter Sandman. I can’t believe that you all still sound as tight as ever!
I’m a major Metallica fan, and I can never play any of their solos right.. But you all pulled it off! I’m pretty much proud of you all!!!!! And I loved Enter Sandman too!! I was singing along while watching you all play.. wahahahahahaha..
Fun! Good job and keep up the good work! Are you all free in 2 weeks’ time? I would love to drop by your studio in PG and watch you all jam, pleeease!!
Glacius // Feb 26, 2007 at 11:36 pm
And by the way.. Tai Suan looks scary behind the drums. LOL.. no offence!
Glacius // Feb 26, 2007 at 11:37 pm

Wes borland’s clinic is on the 13th? So it’s confirmed then. Me and the band was thinking to drop by too. But need to get the entry pass. Hmmm.. I’ll see what I can do
maybe we can meet up during the clinic and enjoy watching a guitar god on in the clinic!
I’ll bring my CD..and I’ll let you know what I did.. hahaha.. although most of it are.. uh.. Midi-based. Hahahahahah.. *paisehness*

-Chun weI- // Feb 27, 2007 at 3:53 am
o ya… not to leave out ont thing….
suan’s drums are very good, for a guy who plays drums for only a year… serious… sumpah!! haha
keep it up
taisuan // Feb 27, 2007 at 1:24 pm
glacius, chun wei, thank you for the kinds words. the last one year WAS a pain to uglymen and personally to me. it was a steep learning curve playing the drums. i went to drums lesson for 3 months, bought instructional DVDs, books, subscribed to MODERN DRUMMER magazine, learn from internet and asking stupid questions to drummers and got laughed back.
it was a pain.
the last few months were me teaching myself cause i no longer have the time to go back to alor setar and take drums lesson. i have to read books/DVDs/CDs/magazines and watching pro drummers play and analyze WHY they play certain ways. and every jamming sessions ended with me asking michael and hooi “how was my drum playing? is it ok? timing how? consistency how? is it too loud or soft?”.
surprisingly it was NOT the drums technique that pushed me to do my BEST BUT it was: “reading other drummers quest in playing the drums and becoming what they are today”. i love reading the motivation part of a drummer on what motivates them the most and what keep them going.
to be damn honest, my playing at the esplanade was BAD (below average). i was stressed too much because i kept my expectation too high to be achieved and crumbled at the live show. i kept my composure throughout the show like how mike kept his with the gastric pain he was enduring.
anyhow, after the gig at Singapore i’m more confident than ever and the next gig (if you guys can catch it) will be totally different.
SilverIsle // Feb 27, 2007 at 1:36 pm
LONG LIVE UGLYM3N~!!! \m/
Glacius // Feb 27, 2007 at 2:18 pm
Word, SilverIsle!
Yeah. I agree with Chun Wei. For a year-old drummer, you did quite well. Of course, I noticed the mistakes, but hey, it’s all good, man! It’s all about practice..
I can finally see the band’s major commitment in whatever you do O.O
-Chun weI- // Feb 27, 2007 at 5:18 pm
Good dude… suan… kep it up… i know how hard izzit to play drums… been through that hard, lagging pick-up period. once ur through, u’ll be fine… keep it up. haha!! ROCK ON !!
SilverIsle // Feb 27, 2007 at 6:22 pm
Yeah! All songs have been uploaded! Thanks again Hooi!
michael // Feb 27, 2007 at 6:50 pm
I have just brought everthing to Din, I blif some magic is coming up.
but, I only realized one thing just now when Din compared my M1 neck to a Fender neck, M1 is WIDER than a standard Fender! I hope I don’t have problem playing it later. The neck is thinner in its shape, but the fretboard area is WIDER than a normal strat, not to mention my fingers can’t even hold a strat liao
hmm……
pray pray…
ChunWei, u coming for the Wes Borland clinic?
fleaman // Feb 27, 2007 at 11:34 pm
tai suan… u play good drum la… we know.. but u play better guitar hahahahaa.. m i rubbing salt onto your wounds! cool leh!
keep it up! maybe one day i can come over n see u guys jam…
