i actually wanted to post this earlier but i was busy with work. i just bought some new toys. they are meant for our band practise. i got myself:

1. rhythm tech cowbell - 5″. the smaller cowbell. the larger cowbell was out of stock. it sounded awesome and truly nice to the band sound. blends totally well.
2. sabian HHX stage crash cymbal 16″. this is the same model of cymbal which i played at springscream, taiwan last month. the sound is mellow and blends well with our music. it is not bright piercing and i can really hit hard during the band rehearsal. mike and hooi did not complain at the loud crash cause it’s not slicing their ears. my other crash cymbal which is the sabian Xs20 medium thin crash cymbal and it is becoming my secondary crash where i use it when i need a bright piercing sound.
3. sabian HH leopard ride cymbal 20″. this is “oh my god” cymbal. the sound is so warm, penetrating and clear. now, i loved playing the ride cymbal. previously, i hated it cause the sound was kinda “has been”. not nice. mike and hooi love the sound of this cymbal. it blends very well with our kind of music.
4. safe hoop, new pearl snare wires, remo skin head for my snare drum. ah~~~ the sound of pleasure. nice tough cracking thunderous sound. damn rocking nice!
the only thing that sound bad about my drums is my playing… yahooo~~~~~~

“in 3 months time.. u’ll be another loser in the market. Why not save up your $ and forget the masters” - Quote from Larry Ellison (Founder of Oracle)
My advice… get some experience and work on your own biz!

What’s wrong with furthering your studies? To be successful in life, it’s all up to you, be it getting a Masters, or PhD. Some fields do require a higher level of academics in order to get a better pay. The pay will normally shock many people, at least I did when I first knew how much was a Master holder being paid. And if you’re young and your famliy can support you financially, why not?
People that never done Masters or PhD before doesn’t know how much will it help you. I wouldn’t elaborate further, but I think Chun Wei knows very well about the advantages.
Yes, Ellison said that before. But the problem is, are you him? Can you match his achievements? Are you up to the challenge? If not, do what you think is right.
