i have been crazy for the past few weeks… one of our customers computer server hit BIG problem and after solving it a week later, i have gone apeshit about something…

yes, i spent some serious money on something.

i went to subscribed PENANGFON internet line. one of the better ISP in penang as compared to local streamyx. paid a RM60 per month subscription and PENANGFON gave me 2MB upload and download. fast.

i never ever had any fast line when i connect from my “who-wants-to-be-a-millionaire” flat in penang. i dialed out to 1511 or 1515 to access the super fast 28.8KBS internet speed to chat with my friends and browse the internet.

i decided that enough is enough. sometimes i need to work from home and i need to connect to my customers server from home. i need a FAST internet line. the previous dial-up-turtle line was making me nervous when i’m supporting them. too slow to respond and customers are screaming at you already… argh…

2 things that made me decide that i wanna get a broadband:

1. need fast line to work
2. due to the bloody www.ggpo.net

the 2nd reason IS THE ONLY reason i wanna get a fast internet line.

what is that?

it’s the free network protocol that u can install STREET FIGHTER ALPHA 2 on your computer and play with anyone in the world. this game is different from RPG cause we need milliseconds to respond our joystick. so… how did i get to know this? my ex-room-mate, joe pow (fleaman’s best friend) introduced me this website. i went crazy. years ago, before i was playing in a band seriously, i was a STREET FIGHTER GAMER. i started playing street fighter 1 since 1987/88 until now. 20 years? u bet. www.ggpo.net gives u free program and instructions on how to setup your computer to connect to the world and kick everyone’s butt.

when i got to know about www.ggpo.net, i went out to buy:

- penangfon internet subscription
- PS-USB converter - i had a PS joystick and i cannot use the keyboard to play, so i bought a converter that allows me to connect my joystick to the converter into the notebook USB port and kick everyone’s butt

if you are a street fighter gamer, look for me, i’m screen name is “taisuan”… duh…

if you connect to play, play with someone with low ping i.e. less than 300 milliseconds else the lag/delay will wear you out. good luck and look for me to kick my butt.
