After restructuring the whole course for both Guitar / Piano for over 6 months, Michael-One.com has come out with all-new more exciting, rewarding and much improved syllabus. Revamp also including song selections, fees, and new rules to improve YOUR overall learning experience.

Good news, fees after revised, they are one of the lowest in Peninsular Malaysia (i have no idea about Sabah, Sarawak).

A typical beginner Elec Guitar course in Penang or KL would be RM90 or more and some music centres only offer group lessons or 30-min session per student. While you get 45 min sessions from Michael-One.com (subject to available time slots)

Dear Parents / Guardians / Students

In order to bring you the best of our music lessons and the best out of you / your child. Please read the following, sign and return this form.

1)1. All students should attend lesson punctually

2)2. Notification of lesson postponement or cancellation must be 24 hours before actual lesson, else replacement is void and lesson forfeited.

3)3. All students are subjected to monthly rankings, please refer www.michael-one.com or www.uglymen.net for details

4)4. Monthly fees must be paid within the particular month or RM5 penalty will be imposed for late payment

5)5. Students should not distribute / share / circulate, in any way, the academic material including music scores, CD tracks and hand-outs      

    outside the school

6)6. All students should pay in full, for course material at the first lesson of progressing to a  new level

7)7. The  school has the right to terminate students’ enrollment due to breach of rules or other relevant reasons such as being anchored at the  bottom of the Hall of Fame for over 20 times

8. Students who are caught giving  false reasons for not attending classes will be automatically kicked out of the school

9. The school has the right to alter the rules and regulations to increase efficiency and the level of music education in this school

More Songs / More Scores / More Backing Tracks During the last six months, i have listened and analyzed over hundreds of songs to be included in the new system. Note that you do not just play note to note by staring at the score, you will be made understood WHY a certain chord is played at a certain place with a certain pattern. The songs you learnt will be discussed in depth and make you gain more than just “playing a song” a.k.a. downloading a score from guitarpro and play in your room. The new syllabus covers everything from classical to finger style to pop to blues to rock to jazz… and best of all, 85% of the songs come with a backing track (NOT MIDI!). And 90% of the music scores are hand written by me for easy reading!Note that EVERY song taught here has their own reasons, i chose the songs which can introduce some new idea in your learning curve. Some students have asked me why not include xxxx songs in your system? If the songs you are asking is not in the system, that’s because have covered the technique used in your requested song. FREE Backing Tracks CD & Music Scores Sheets

Seasoned Students / Frequent Visitors to Uglymen.net will know that I always have a problem of collecting payment for backing tracks CD and even xerox of music scores. I even had a student asking me just last week: “ Why did you charge me for your backing CD so expensive (RM2.00), my friend could burn the CD for me for RM1 only.

Some times, students just dont understnad the time you need to use in recording, programming a backing track. Now, once and for all, Michael-One.com make it clear that all the CDs given out to you are FREE! yes, FREE! But, you have to pay for the programming fee at a super ridiculously cheap price, and all the photostated (copies) of music scores are FREE, but you have to pay for the work your teacher (yes, it means me) put in writing out the score for you.

Backing Track Mp3:

Programming / Editing / Arranging / Production Fee per song: RM2.00 (RM3.00 for higher grades) 
CDr: FREE
Example: If you get two backing tracks in a CD, you only pay RM4.00, the CDr is FREE, yes, its FREE!

Writing of Music Sheets / Scores: RM0.10
The A4 paper: FREE
Example: You receive a song with 5 pages of scores, you pay RM0.50 for my hard work, you dont have to pay for the paper.

To make things easier for both the school and the students, where you dont have to pay RM0.10 by RM0.10 whenever you get a music sheet, I have calculted an EXACT figure for every level, for how much you need to pay for all the songs, backing tracks, music sheets that you will receive in that level, see below (figure excluding practical and theory books):

为了使课程顺利进行, 及把最好的音乐教育和经验授课于所有学生, 请务必遵守以下简单条规:

1)学生必须准时出席上课

2)1) 如果学生无法如常上正课, 必须于正课24小时前通知本校, 否则怒不补课 

3)2) 学生可上网查询每月学生排行榜 www.michael-one.com 或 www.uglymen.net

4)3) 学费需准时缴交, 若超过了当月时限则罚款 RM5

5)4) 学生严禁在校外分布, 复制, 传递课程学习资料, 包括歌谱, 后备音乐光盘 (CD backing Track)

6)5)  学生必须每升上一级时缴还学习资料 (study Material: CD, 歌谱, 作业等) 费用. 费用不包括课本及乐里作业簿

7)6)  校方有权终止或开除被发现违反规则的学生

7) 捏造虚假理由而不如常上课的学生将被自动终止课程

9)8 ) 学校有权随时修改规则, 以提高授课水平及更好的音乐教育

旧学生/ uglymen.net常客都知道我一直面对一个问题: 收集后备音乐光盘及乐谱的费用.

我甚至有一个学生问我说: “为什么你们收费这么昂贵(一片光盘RM2.00),我的朋友可以

帮我录制光盘只是RM1.00呢.

其实, 在Michael-One, 光盘免费赠送. 有时候, 学生不明白, 需要使用很长时间去编程及

录音. 在此, Michael-One再次声明, 所有后备音乐光碟都是免费的! 对, 免费! 但是,你须

支付一个超级廉价可笑的编程费,

同样的, 所有歌谱都是免费的, 但是你要支付一个超级廉价可笑的编写费.

后备音乐光盘:

编曲/ 修改 / 制作 / 录制费用每首歌: RM2.00

CD光盘: 免费

例如: 如果一个光盘内有两首后备音乐歌曲, 你只需支付RM4.00 的费用, 光盘本身是免费的!

歌谱编写 / 印刷: 每页RM0.10

A4 白纸: 免费

例如: 如果一首歌有五页, 你只需为下尽功夫编写的歌谱支付RM0.50, A4白纸是免费的

为了大家的便利, 学生不需要以几角接几角来付费, 一次缴交整个级别 (Level) 的助学材

料费用. 本校已为每个级别计算一个准确的数目 (有效日期从2007年9月至2009年1月)
