Why i write this post??? becoz’ after went thru the vids MssssGnap posted at recent’s yamaha asian beat gig on the youtube… I must say that uglym3n can really kick ass now….Couple years ago, I thought uglymen with 4 members was the best ever lineup for the band; becoz’ of the double leads, mike and suan could done some crazy things(dances, drama) and told some jokes and etc etc etc…It was perfect then!!! but after some years later, reality had proven to me that this is dead wrong!!! I believe not juz only me have this feeling but also a lot of friends as well.
I remember the first and very very very first uglym3n live on “live gig 7″ at KL’s timesquare; uglymen was facing a BIG problem; the problem was the drumer left the band and left over only 3 men to continue the ugly band. It was really ugly for uglym3n, and Uglym3n had done very very very shity job on their performance and it was superb ugly, how shit??? I couldn’t tell; After you watch it you will feel like not interested in go on watching them play live. Sound??? out beat, all out everything out out out…..
It was the downest time for uglym3n; but luckily they are standing still and insisting on keep on going for the band. I was thinking it was the ending of uglymen the band without the ex-drumer. becoz’ everything colopse and they couldn’t play at all in live performance. I recall that time suan could not play certain ugly songs when he first pick up the drum. Its seems hopeless for the band and helpless for the friends who really wanna help.
TODAY!!! when I stand out there and watch them play live; I feel proud of these 3 uglymen!!! This is not about music anymore to me, it’s like an encouragement for everyone here in doing things in life. What they had achieved today it’s not simply juz happen. They work very hard that’s for sure and keep on “never give up” attitude in doing the things that they like in doing it since long time; Uglym3n had tought me ”never give up” things easily, want to be successful??? gotta work hard and never give up!!! Juz like Uglym3n!!!Â

Aiyer! i actually cried reading this….
You are so rite. Watching Uglymen last Sat, made my hair stand. Why? Bcos they were really so effective, and i was SO impressed.
To sum it all, here’s a good quote … “Great things are made by people who share a passion; not by those who have been talked into one…”

I still remember their first gig as a tri-piece at Live Gig 7 in Times Square vividly like you, Beh. The audience felt bad, I felt sad, and no one can ever understand their feelings at the moment.
Words of encouragement were given continuously from time to time to them. We ALL know it’s a lie, but it’s a white lie, with only ONE purpose, to keep the band going.
I’m glad and I’m very proud of Uglym3n too for being able to stand up strong again today!
To all those who have thrown them negative feedbacks and hurtful words, thanks, you guys have successfully inspired them to work harder and achieve higher.
Never give up! NOTHING is impossible!

this is what we rock band said normally -
“want to rock & roll, just DO IT(action) to rock and roll. life is music, and the MUSIC IS for OUR LIFE”, we need every one encouragment… even slap! is in SARAWAK (far from penang)… but still need to sharing more through internet…
