UGLYM3N

today is the last day of 2007. and what a year it was; full of laughter, coupled with tears for some, unexpected achievement and truly an eventful year for uglym3n.

we can’t believe that year 2007 passed us so fast. personally, i’m grateful to what i am blessed with: lovely family, GREAT friends, nice career and ultimately uglym3n. as always, we met new friends, went to new places and had unforgettable gigs throughout our wildest dreams. what else can beat that? perhaps a strike at the lottery? :p

what happened this year?

1. we were invited back to singapore to perform at the esplanade during chinese new year this year. the response was good and at that time i was barely playing the drums for less than a year.

2. we got selected to perform at the annual SPRINGSCREAM festival in kenting, taiwan. the music and girls were incredible.

3. we did a merdeka tour gig around the country, playing at selected country side townships: taiping (perak), teluk anson (perak), kampar (perak), sungai petani (kedah) and bukit mertajam (mainland penang).

4. we were invited to perform at the SARAWAK ROCK GIG 2007 in kuching with our sarawakian bands.

5. we played at ALOR SETAR LARGEST STREET CONCERT beginning of the year.

6. a few cool gigs: HAPPY SATURDAY and PARIT BUNTAR TEMPLE DAY OUT.

7. we launched new logo and t-shirts. those t-shirts were selling fast, thanks to you guys for the incredible support.

8. we were featured in a french TV programme in september.

9. our songs appear on radio (east malaysia).

10. we saw our friends at OCEAN OF FIRE emerged 2nd at the annual GRAND FINAL of yamaha asian beat band competition in sunway lagoon, KL.

11. we introduced the UGLY DANCE in our show.

we cherish the joys our friends gave us through their tireless support and belief. thank you everyone and have a blessed and wonderful years ahead.
