i am very very busy, but still i cannot stand but post this stupidest ad…
on saturday, i saw this ad in THE STAR, by CELCOM… it says FREE MODEM, with the whole damn page displaying different colours of the Huawei-shaped modem (same as SingTel, Maxis….)
Celcom is giving FREE MODEM away…
the point is, if u r a Screamyx or Maxis subscriber, telekom or maxis also let you use the modem without charge la, (i am not sure after your contract, they will take back or not), but, tak kan u use your screamyx for one year then cancel (maybe out-station student la)?? the modem is given to you as long as you are using their service….. so, who the hell care about having Celcom line and getting a free modem…and in their website, they say the modem worth RM799… wa… that is an E-rated advertisement…
i think if the above advertisement works, we may see some other advertisements coming up like:
-PACIFIC supermarket is giving away plastic bags for FREE when u buy things
-Petrol station is giving you FREE parking when u fill up your car
-Kopi tiam is giving you free seat when you dine at their shop
i also got one advertisement…

the modem is true. a few months ago, celcom came to our cheap apartment and tried to trick us in buying an overhyped modem for RM799 or RM899 (can’t recall) together with the broadband service. now they are giving people free. wtf?

ya… the modem is true, but THE PROMOTION is stupid, bcos everyone using broadband is given a MODEM to use for FREE..

the oval shape looks like condom package.
the colour scheme too looks like one that condom ad will use.

actually, not only celcom did like that. Most of the products or services when first launched, were more expensive then later. Like handphone ma.
What Michael’s point is with other competitors already giving free modem for so long then they only come promote their free modem plan. C’mon la give us new benefit, rm10 every month unlimited used t3 line !!!!
