since 27th Jan 2008, i have effectively missed all of uglymen's show namely queensbay, freshway, komtar, taiping….. well, i do, am doing something for uglymen though back in alor star, writing new material, which wil be shared with everyone at the right moment. meanwhile, since march, playing in flamingo with thye, man, min has also improved my music a lot. esp on performing pop songs, and adding colour to those boring slow number chinese, esp cantonese songs. i really missed uglymen, but i just couldnt leave alor star as simple as said….
bsides, knowing many friends at the pub is definitely something to cheer about, as we hear many compliments from the customers, and surprisingly de xtreme (the band's name) has built a certain groups of patrons, who mostly, will not miss our shows, almost every night… though some times have to eng siew drink few glass of beers (i dont drink)
then, in early june, yuna was having a late night talk at her place and suddenly brought up the idea of singing at halo cafe (alor star mall) so, without thinking, i called the person in charge (si cong) who in fact is a wonderful singer, and arranged to sing there. this was great news to him as he could finally take leave as i can relief his duty at night. however, this means i would be singing and playing 7-day a week.
after three weeks, i decided to quit halo cafe… the main reasons were 1st… too tired, 2nd, there is no more place for new students, halo cafe starts at 9.15pm, which means i have to stop teaching at 9pm latest, that means sacrificing 2 students at least (sunday and thursday night). 3rd, with due respect and no offence, i nearly fell asleep singing there… unplugged at ming ge can ting (unplugged cafe) is certainly not my cup of teh peng kao. i could bored myself to death there… still, i want to thank si cong for allowing me to perform there for the passed weeks. it was certainly an experience for me too to remember. well… maybe to sing unplugged for 4, 5 songs is ok, but one night 27 unplugged songs… i will fall zzzzzzzzz… try imagine the performer fell alseep listening himself singing…

-uglymen gained some new fan base thanks to uglyboyz performing bubble tea in a few places recently.
-my 2-year-old pda phone dopod 838 pro is almost certain to kong in few weeks time.. i am trying REALLY HARD to restrain myself from buying a new phone
-thanks shao wei for capturing the 30th may recital video, as i do not have ANY OTHER video material
-i will post some other students video gradually
-bought a yamaha digital piano, not good, but just enuf to handle pub works
-sold my belove-d washburn N4 (notice the pass tense), its now only M1
-ma chun min (leng zai) left Uglyboyz due to personal reason, they are still very sam pat and crazy friends..
-laugh at newspaper news everyday (there is no truth out there, there is only C4)
-finish studying music psychology for kids but also at the same time, giving up teaching
-feel so sorry to 7 students, for failing to arrange lesson time
-bought semi dslr canon digital camera
-poorer by 3k after misc spending
-watched a number of movies in these 4 months (i seldom hv time watch). Meet The Spartans (wasted 70 minutes of my life, stupid meaningless movie) / Untraceable (very good cyber crime movie) / Gone Baby Gone (another good movie challenging morales against the cruel long arm of the law) / Duno wat scary movie or something, got narnia thing inside (again, another stupid movie) / The Bank Job (ok, UK movie, not bad la…soso) / Some Macgyver series (as good as ever) / Knight Rider 2008 (ptui ptui ptui, KITT from pontiac trans am turned into a ford) …
-AND….discover on internet, someone is spreading rumours trying to tarnish my reputations, i.e: persistently borrowing money and owing money to people…
-think back…. i really want to count now, how much people owe me…
-i am not rich, but not poor until need to borrow money everyday gok…
its now 6.32am monday 7th july… all right, get back to work…
