I got this album few days ago which ugly drummer ah leow told me that this album already out and it was release last year 2008!!! I was like what the heck….how come I didn't know it…I did listen few of the songs from youtube that was leak out….and some of them either were not in good quality or in complete version.
I like “better” when first I listen in youtube and then when I went back and search for it; youtube took em' all down….so I was waiting for this album to be out….
After ah leow told me this album was out, I immediately rush to gurney's tower records to look for this album…I saw there were two copies I grab one and pay and put it on my car while on my way driving back home's time…
14 tracks;” better” its on the 3rd track…
when I listen to 1st track – chinese democracy; I was like wow!! it's my cup of tea; I love this kind of songs/music so very much and I miss them so very much!!! becoz' way too long didn't have a band produce or write in this type of music/sytle and tone….typical 80's hard rock/metal tone….
Axl rose really kick ass in this album his vox still kick ass!!! got his signature, high pitch and low pitch….
This is typical Guns And Roses album/sound, they didn't loss their own signature of sound; even the lineup is totally different than the past Guns and Roses…I think mainly its becoz' GNR didn't change their vox and most of the songs/music were from the front man Axl Rose…..
With these 14 tracks it has ballad and rock tunes… and they have few guitarists play in this album; robin finck, Paul Tobias, Buckethead, Ron “bumblefoot” Thal Richard Fortus…..
so kinda interesting to listen to some Robin, Buckethead and Ron's guitar solo work in this album… They are totally different than Slash the ex-guitarist of GNR…. Right before the album was out into the market; alot of ppl saying that losing Slash is not GNR anymore or the album will be sound bad or some other negative things….After listen to this album I do not have the feeling of losing Slash will do any “harm” to this band/album or negative things…
Buckethead, Robin and Ron's guitar solo works in this album really great!!! More aggresive than Slash's….that's what I feel about it when I listen to the guitar solo works throughout the whole album…
I got this album few days ago and listen and listen to it since I got it; driving, writting this post and etc..I never get tired of it; It has very nice molodies in each of the songs and the arrangement throughout these 14 tracks are great!!! I love them all!!!!
Grab CHINESE DEMOCRACY in tower records, artist gallery(much cheaper)….Please do not download and burn….get an orginal copy juz RM40 or plus only…..support great band that makes great music….you won't regret after having it!!!

i am currently into fourplay (not foreplay), shakatak, spyrogira, chik corea, casiopea, all are 80s top bands…
i have just got my ears to the new GNR songs…. sorry to say but i dont really know how to enjoy them, slash, mckagen, stradlin era was way above the current crop.
i respect GNR, but axl has ruined the whole band… so sad…

kaneh fleaman, 2007 was UGLYMEN biggest boom and we were only 3-piece
we can do so much things which we were not able to previously. the freedom, chemistry, creativity and teamwork were obviously strongest. 2007 = merdeka gig tour nationwide, singapore gig, taiwan gig & sarawak gig.

For me , de oni sound which is 80′s in dis album is Axl Rose’s Vox . . . De rest sounds like a new GNR . . . De mixing is much more better than de old ones . . . Robin Finck uses Les Paul as well , but his guitar sounds better than Slash . . . Hence , technology is slowly taking over . . . But bands like Metallica / Smashing Pumpkins n etc still prefer de “analog” way . . . No Pro Tools or watsoeva n their drummers doesn’t uses any click or metronome during recording to stimulate a live performance . . .dis is a pretty decent album for me as i can listen to it over n over again . . . mebe it’s bcoz i like “heavy” stuff n dis album gave me de Oompa – Loompas . . . hahaha . . . some of the songs sounded “industrial” like to me . . . well , at de end , its either u like it or u hate it . . . Music for me is much of a LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT thingy . . . de first time u listen to it n u dun like it , u’ll neva like it . . . juz like if ur a MetalHead n i play u some Eminem or 50 cent sh*t . . . Or ur a R&B chick n i play u some Metallica sh*t . . . even if its de same genre , its either ur cup of tea or juz a bottle of ur piss ^_^
